  1. I can completely relate to Gianna Manzi’s story, as my first dog, Steinway, died at sixteen years old when I was only in first grade. Personally, this was an extremely difficult time for me, as my dog was one of the most important parts of my life, and it took a long time for my family and I to recover from Steinway’s passing.

  2. This story was so well done! I liked how you came full circle, talking about Teddy at the beginning and the end. I definitely can relate to this subject, and I really liked your use of description and simile.

  3. I loved “a house isn’t a home without a dog” because I agree. It’s not the same when there isn’t a dog to come home to

  4. Even though losing a pet is something many people can relate to, I liked how you connected your hardship to overcome it with how you have improved yourself as a person, through the lessons you learned.
